Michigan hockey teams were well-represented in U.S. College Hockey Online's top 20 preseason poll, which was released Monday.
Michigan, which reached the Frozen Four last season, checks in at No. 4, while Michigan Tech (No. 18), Western Michigan (No. 19) and Northern Michigan (No. 20) round out the top 20.
Defending national champion Minnesota-Duluth sits at No. 1, followed by Big Ten teams Notre Dame, Ohio State and Michigan -- all Frozen Four teams from last season.
In the Big Ten preseason coaches' poll, however, the Buckeyes were predicted to win the conference, with the Wolverines finishing second.
