TAMPA, Fla. -- University of Michigan freshman forward Kyle Connor was named the recipient of the 2016 Tim Taylor Award, bestowed annually upon the best first-year player in NCAA Division I men's ice hockey, the Hockey Commissioners' Association announced today (Friday, April 8). In addition, four Wolverines earned AHCA/CCM All-America recognition, including junior forward JT Compher (2nd Team), Connor (1st Team), junior forward Tyler Motte (1st Team) and sophomore defenseman Zach Werenski (1st Team).
This season marks the first time since 1996-97 that the Wolverines have had four All-Americans on one team.
