The Michigan Wolverines basketball program will see its first alum indicted into the Basketball Hall of Fame, as it was announced this weekend that former two-time All-Big Ten forward Rudy Tomjanovich has received the call to the hall.
The 6-foot-8 forward averaged 25.1 points and 14.4 rebounds in three seasons in Ann Arbor from 1967-1970. This included a 30.1 points and 15.7 rebounds per game season in ‘69-’70.
Tomjanovich’s collegiate play made him one of the most desirable players headed into the 1970 NBA Draft where he was selected by the San Diego (Houston) Rockets.
