ANN ARBOR, MI - A former nun who studied under Loyola University-Chicago's Sister Jean plans to watch the Final Four basketball game on Saturday, but says she'll be rooting for the Maize and Blue.

Ann Arbor resident Marie Vitale, 78, attended Mundelein College, a Catholic, all-women's school near Loyola's campus in Chicago. The college has since affiliated with Loyola. Vitale also served as a nun with the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary who founded Mundelein.

It was there she met Sister Jean Dolores Schmidt, who was Vitale's religious instructor and taught her how to lead the religious life of a nun, which she did for 14 years.
