The injury bug has been going around NFL training camps over the last couple of days following the completion Week 1 of the preseason, and there is bad news for followers of the Michigan Wolverines.
Yesterday, Minnesota Viking (and Michigan) fans were dealt some bad news as it was revealed that rookie quarterback J.J. McCarthy was slated to miss some time as the result of a meniscus injury.
Initially, it was thought that the former Wolverine could undergo a meniscectomy to remove part of his torn meniscus, a procedure which would only leave him sidelined for about four to six weeks — that would’ve given him the chance to return to the field after missing only the start of the regular season.
