As the old adage goes, the fifth time is the charm.
So what if phrase is made up -- it couldn't sound sweeter to former Jackson Lumen Christi High School and University of Michigan outfielder Ryan LaMarre.
LaMarre, 29, has officially made the Opening Day roster for the Minnesota Twins, the first time in his career he has been with a Major League club on the first day of the season.
Minnesota is LaMarre's fifth organization in his nine-year career. The 2007 Lumen Christi graduate was drafted in the second round by the Cincinnati Reds in 2010 and got his first major league call-up in 2015.
