PYEONGCHANG, South Korea — Somebody held up a Michigan flag in the front row of the stands, as Sam McGuffie crossed the finish-line in his Olympic debut on Sunday in the two-man bobsled.
“It was good,” McGuffie said. “Ah, you know, it wasn’t any different than anything else to me, honestly.”
McGuffie, the former Michigan football player, and pilot Codie Bascue were in 25th place with a combined time of 1 minute, 40.19 seconds after two runs down the difficult track.
They were 1.80 seconds behind the leader, Germany’s Nico Walther and Christian Poser.
