Michael Dwumfour, the Michigan football defensive lineman who entered the transfer portal last week, announced on Twitter on Monday that he is joining Rutgers.
Dwumfour is going to Rutgers as a graduate transfer with one more year of eligibility. He hails from Scotch Plains, New Jersey, which is about 14 miles away from SHI Stadium, where the Scarlet Knights play.

Rutgers hosts Michigan on Nov. 14 this upcoming season.
The 6-foot-2, 282-pound lineman has struggled with injuries that have kept him off the field.
