Nearly four years ago, the Detroit Pistons passed on a talented, but injury prone Caris Levert and took the next Dirk Nowitzki in Henry Ellenson.

It turned out to be the wrong move, another draft blunder that has contributed to the Pistons' continued demise.

Levert, the Michigan basketball standout, had his best NBA performance Tuesday night in front of a national audience and against one of the league's most storied franchises.

Levert scored a career-high 51 points, leading an astonishing Brooklyn Nets 21-point rally to beat the Boston Celtics, 129-120, in overtime at Boston's TD Garden.
