Several former basketball players from the rival schools will be teammates in a national basketball tournament this summer. The Basketball Tournament (TBT), a 72-team event open to anyone 18 or older, will hold its fourth annual event at locations all over the country starting in July. The single-elimination bracket, much of which will be broadcast on ESPN, culminates with a championship game on August 3 in Baltimore. The winning team earns $2 million.
One of the hopeful teams -- 129 squads have already requested entry -- is "Big X," a reference to the Big Ten.
