The Wolverines snagged a commitment from Pembroke Pines (Fla.) Flanagan safety Josh Metellus on Wednesday, and on Friday his fellow safety teammate Devin Gil decided he would also play his college ball Ann Arbor. A one-time Miami (Fla.) commitment, Gil had shown interest in the Wolverines since his offer in late March. He reopened his recruitment this week, announcing his change of heart on Twitter.
“I’ll be taking my talents to the big house by committing to the University Of Michigan,” Gil Tweeted.
Standing in at 6-0, 205 pounds, Gil is rated as a three-star prospect by the national recruiting networks.
