For Michigan's Donovan Peoples-Jones, Step 1 is returning kicks

ANN ARBOR -- It was nearly nine months ago Donovan Peoples-Jones arrived at Michigan to much fanfare.

A five-star recruit from Detroit's Cass Tech High School, Peoples-Jones enrolled early and immersed himself in the football program. When he wasn't taking classes, he was living at the practice facility and watching how the older players went about their business.

On Saturday, the freshman receiver got his first taste of collegiate football, returning punts and kickoffs in Michigan's 33-17 win over Florida.

"You've kind of got to be relentless and fearless back there," Peoples-Jones said. "Anything I can do for this team to help them win, I'm going to do it.
