Five Michigan Hockey Players Earn Big Ten Conference Awards

The Michigan Wolverines hockey team cleaned up in Big Ten Conference awards, with five members earning at least one honor.

Freshman forward Kyle Connor was named Big Ten Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year after leading the conference in scoring, according to MGoBlue.com. The awards were voted on by a panel of coaches and media.

Elsewhere, Sophomore defenseman Zach Werenski was named Defensive Player of the Year.
