International soccer is returning to Michigan Stadium.
FC Barcelona will take on SSC Napoli in the second of two matches in the inaugural LaLiga-Serie A Cup on Aug. 10 at the Big House.
The LaLiga-Serie A Cup will start hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, on Aug. 7. That's the home of the Miami Dolphins, owned by billionaire and U-M alum Stephen Ross, whose company, Relevant Sports Group, is hosting these matches.
“LaLiga has recognized the importance of international expansion, especially in the United States, which is why we have dedicated significant resources through our joint venture with Relevent Sports Group,” LaLiga president Javier Tebas said in a news release.
