When Sione Houma signed with Michigan in 2012, it was a leap of faith.
Heading far from his Salt Lake City home, he was going to an offense that was more spread than pro-style and relying on a coach's promise that it would feature opportunities for a fullback.
For three years, there were moments for one fullback, but Joe Kerridge was usually ahead of Houma. Now that Jim Harbaugh's offense is in, there should be enough reps for both fullbacks in the power running game.
"It's really great to know that (Harbaugh's) using a lot more fullbacks this year," Houma said.
