EAST LANSING – It's what EVERYBODY is talking about.
The excitement is electric in East Lansing ahead of the big — no, make that EPIC — Big Ten, national-attention-getting, in-state matchup Saturday between No. 6 Michigan football and No. 7 Michigan State football, both of which are undefeated in football.
"The atmosphere around here is palpable. It's the only thing people are talking about," said first-year MSU student Dane Webb, 18, of Williamston, a member of the Spartan Marching Band.
Webb and senior Katy McWilliams, 21, of Dexter, practiced their mellophones under the shade of a grove of tall trees near Spartan Stadium on Thursday as crews built the ESPN College GameDay set at the nearby track and field hockey facility.
