EAST LANSING – It felt like old times.
Spike Albrecht was back in the Breslin Center and the Izzone was razzing him hard.
“Justin Bieber!” the Izzone chanted at Albrecht. “Justin Bieber!”
Albrecht could only smile.
“It was kind of funny – it brought back some memories when I was playing at Michigan,” Albretch said Tuesday night, standing outside his new team’s locker room, after Purdue’s 84-73 victory over Michigan State. “Even the guys on the team were noticing. They were like, ‘Geez, they are really getting on you.’ ”
Albrecht still has the youthful face and the mop of hair.
