When Northwestern defensive coordinator Mike Hankwitz walks through the tunnel at Michigan Stadium on Saturday, he won't feel much.
His mind will be on his own defense and Michigan's offense, instead of going in so many other directions.
He could be looking across the field at Michigan's defensive line coach, Greg Mattison, whom he once selected to work under him at Western Michigan and who succeeded him as defensive coordinator there.
He could search the U-M sideline and maybe pick out Jack Harbaugh, the man who hired him at Western Michigan, and is now enjoying son Jim's ride as Michigan's coach.
