Jake Long took a break during lunch recently and walked into a meeting room at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
Actually, Long drove more than walked to the meeting room. Just a few months removed from surgery on a ruptured Achilles tendon, the former star at Lapeer East High, All-America at Michigan, No. 1 overall draft pick in 2008 and four-time Pro Bowl left tackle with the Miami Dolphins, was riding a knee scooter as he entered the small room to discuss life after football.
Long, who will turn 32 in May, hasn’t announced a decision to retire.
