Departed Michigan defensive back Keith Washington has decided on his landing spot.
The 6-foot-2, 170-pound Washington says he plans on transferring to West Virginia for the 2018 season, where he'll play right away and have three years of eligibility remaining, he announced Tuesday.
Washington left Michigan shortly before the start of the 2017 season for Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Wesson, Mississippi. He never did give a reason for his departure, but indicated a strong desire to return to the Division I level.
"I would like to thank God for allowing me to play the sport I love," Washington wrote in a note on Twitter.
