ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Star NFL draft prospect and former Michigan Wolverines cornerback Jourdan Lewis pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence in court Thursday afternoon.
Prosecutors charged Lewis Wednesday after an altercation with a woman believed to be his girlfriend around 1 a.m. on Wednesday morning. Lewis and his attorney declined to comment while leaving the courthouse.
Ann Arbor Det. Lt. Matthew Lige told ESPN that police responded to a 911 call from a woman believed to be Lewis' girlfriend. The woman alleged that she and Lewis had an argument and that he assaulted her at an apartment in Ann Arbor.
