The leader of Michigan Wolverines athletics reportedly knows his school did Chris Webber wrong.
Warde Manuel, now U-M's athletic director, apologized directly to Webber on behalf of the university, Webber told ESPN recently.
The revelation comes as Webber — a Detroit Country Day legend who'd star for the Wolverines and in the NBA — is set to be inducted to the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame this week.
"I was told by the athletic director at the University of Michigan that he was sorry," Webber said during a wide-ranging interview at his home in the Atlanta area ahead of his Hall of Fame induction.
