Former Michigan basketball player Kendric Price died from a gunshot wound early Saturday morning in Boston, according to WFXT-TV in Boston.
Police were called after a person was shot on Greenwood Street in Dorchester, a neighborhood in Boston. According to WFXT, officers found a man shot who was then pronounced dead at the scene.
That man was Price, who was in Michigan's 2005 recruiting class. The 6-foot-8 Price attended Buckingham Browne & Nichols High School and, according to his U-M athletics profile, was an accomplished jazz pianist and jazz and choir singer.
Price played just one season at U-M, 2006-07, after redshirting as a freshman.
