INDIANAPOLIS -- Derrick Walton Jr. dropped into his locker and said he was "hurting all over." The ol' senior looked like an old man, rubbing his legs and grimacing, maybe feigning a bit of grizzled discomfort.
Louisville threw everything it had at Walton. Coach Rick Pitino's gameplan centered on stopping the ball, hounding the Michigan point guard with length and disrupting him with physical play. It made sense, but Michigan -- this nebulous team that has counters to its counters -- found a way, nonetheless, in a 73-69 win.
Now it's off to the Sweet 16, but not before recounting exactly what old man Walton did on Sunday.
