Corum might have been a finalist in 2022 had he not injured his knee in the penultimate game of the season against Illinois. The numbers he put up that year were unprecedented in the new era of college football, surpassing game-by-game statistics of former Heisman winners at the position like Derrick Henry in 2015 and Mark Ingram in 2009.
