Three weeks ago the Michigan Wolverines earned the commitment of four-star wide receiver Xavier Worthy out of Fresno, California. The No. 147 recruit in the country chose the Wolverines over Alabama, Auburn, and Arizona State.
Now, national outlets are praising the fit of Worthy within Josh Gattis’ ‘Speed in Space’ offense.
ESPN wrote a piece on the most impactful recruits in the 2021 class so far ($) and Worthy, not five-star quarterback recruit J.J. McCarthy, earned the honor from author Tom VanHaaren:
“This pick was going to be quarterback J.J. McCarthy because he could stabilize the quarterback position for Michigan in the future,” said VanHaaren, “Worthy is getting the nod, though, because he is going to ultimately help Michigan get to the speed in space as he has elite speed.
