ESPN analyst from Shane Morris' concussion game has seen enough brain trauma

Ed Cunningham is fed up with it, and is doing his part to separate himself from the violence that occurs on the football field each weekend, and the lasting effect it's having on players.

The ESPN college football analyst has stepped down, saying he no longer can broadcast games in good conscience.

"I take full ownership of my alignment with the sport," Cunningham told the New York Times. "I can just no longer be in that cheerleader's spot."

"In its current state, there are some real dangers: broken limbs, wear and tear. But the real crux of this is that I just don't think the game is safe for the brain.
