Eli Brooks gets hot, but Michigan unable to guard Iowa's Luka Garza in 90-83 loss

IOWA CITY — Michigan basketball attempted 25 fewer free throws. Iowa's Luka Garza scored 33 points. And Zavier Simpson played nine first-half minutes.

Despite all of that, the Wolverines found themselves in position to pull off a road upset at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Friday night.

Iowa's offense was too much to handle. After Michigan took a seven-point lead with just under ten minutes left in the second half, the Hawkeyes used a 11-2 run to re-take the lead, eventually handing the No. 20 Wolverines a 90-83 loss.
