Ed Warinner joined Michigan football this winter without a position to coach and no firm promises of a future role.
But he took the job anyway.
And for all parties involved, it's been a rewarding experience.
"Michigan's what I thought it would be. The university, the athletic department. What Warde (Manuel) has going here, what Jim (Harbaugh) has going here," Warinner, U-M's first-year offensive line coach, said Wednesday.
