ANN ARBOR -- As of now, Drake Johnson plans to participate in a sport during his final season of eligibility at Michigan.
But that sport will be track and not football.
Johnson received an NCAA hardship waiver for a sixth year of eligibility recently after going through multiple ACL injuries and a freak accident involving a forklift last summer. After spending 2012-15 on the football team as a running back, Johnson -- who was with the team last year -- did not play in any games during the 2016 season.
"Drake Johnson is going to continue at Michigan, take classes this fall, the latest is that he's not going to participate in football and concentrate on track," Harbaugh told reporters Monday in Ann Arbor.
