SAN ANTONIO - Five years ago, Michigan went into a national title game facing a Louisville team with plenty of weapons in its starting lineup.
But it was reserve Luke Hancock who scored 22 points that night as the Cardinals came back from down by 12 points to send Michigan to a title game loss.
On Monday, Michigan had to prepare for a Villanova lineup that included national player of the year Jalen Brunson, first-team All-Big East player Mikal Bridges and three other starters who averaged double figures scoring.
But again, the Wolverines were denied a national title due to an unlikely standout game from a sixth-man.
