Don't call him James: Michigan's Josh Ross relishes dual-linebacker role

ANN ARBOR -- It happens all the time. Most days, in fact.

Michigan linebacker Josh Ross can't go long before he is called the name of his older brother, James, a former player who's now on the coaching staff as a graduate assistant.

"All the time," Ross, a sophomore, reiterates. "We got called twins. It's so many things. I get called James everyday.

"It is what it is. He's short and fat and I'm a little bit more built."

It might become a less frequent thing if more days like Saturday happen this fall. Ross served double duty in Saturday's 24-17 loss to Notre Dame, first rotating in for Devin Gil at the weak-side linebacker position.
