Last year, Ricky Doyle took control as Michigan's center.
Though spelled at times by Max Bielfeldt, Doyle grew more comfortable as the year progressed and clearly was Michigan's best option in the middle.
But as he returns for his sophomore season, Doyle might be in for a battle from redshirt sophomore Mark Donnal.
"It's one of those issues, no different than the previous years, where we still look at those guys by committee," U-M assistant basketball coach Bacari Alexander said on today's "Michigan Insider" show on WTKA-AM (1050). "We are asking those guys to reach those baseline markers for the position, which would be to generate 15 points and 15 rebounds.
