As the NBA Draft begins Thursday night at 7, D.J. Wilson can put another stamp on the Michigan basketball program.
Wilson, who left Michigan as a redshirt sophomore, is projected by most mock drafts as a first-round pick. He would be Michigan’s sixth first-rounder since 2013, placing U-M among the nation’s top programs in that time.
Entering this year’s draft, only Kentucky (10) and Duke (7) have had more first-rounders than Michigan's five in the past four years.
Wilson’s selection also would tie for the most U-M first-rounders in a five-year span in program history as U-M had also has six from 1990-93.
