LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Defensive coordinator Don Brown of the No. 5-ranked University of Michigan football team was announced on Monday (Nov. 28) as one of five finalists for the 2016 Broyles Award presented by the Frank and Barbara Broyles Foundation. The award honors college football's top assistant coach and was established in 1996 to recognize legendary head football coach Frank Broyles.
Brown is the sixth Wolverine assistant to be named a finalist for the award. He was also nominated for the award in all three seasons while coaching at Boston College (2013-15).
