The first quarter between Michigan and Maryland was about as ugly as one could imagine with each team turning it over twice while combining for just 101 total yards. The Wolverines settled down though, kicking a couple field goals in the second quarter, then pulling away in the third to ultimately claim 28-0 victory.
The game turned on a Jourdan Lewis interception, which led to a Drake Johnson 31 yard catch and run on a screen pass. The Wolverines’ next possession lasted just one play, with Jehu Chesson running it 66 yards on a jet sweep.
