The winners of the University of Michigan Outstanding Sportsmanship Award were named on Wednesday morning, and winning the award for the football and basketball programs are Carlo Kemp and Austin Davis, respectively.
The award, according to a press release, is given to players “to represent the block “M” as individuals who distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior.” It also says the winner have “distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. In addition, these honorees must be in good academic standing and must have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting.”
A two-time team captain for Jim Harbaugh and the football program, Kemp has played up and down the defense during his time in Ann Arbor.
