Michigan baseball coach Erik Bakich added an addition to the Wolverine family earlier this week from Tyler Inge, a freshman infielder at Detroit Country Day and the son of former Detroit Tigers’ third baseman Brandon Inge. The news was made official on Twitter.
“I am extremely proud to announce my commitment to the University of Michigan to continue my academic and athletic career,” the tweet reads. “Thank you to my family, friends and coaches for the support in making this dream become a reality. No better baseball culture.”
The 5-foot-11, 155-pounder in the class of 2024 is listed as a middle infielder.
