Michigan football was dealt a bit of a curveball on the recruiting trail last week when JD Johnson, the team’s 2020 quarterback commit, was forced to retire from the game of football due to a heart issue. That leaves the Wolverines with an open slot for a quarterback late in the game for the 2020 cycle and they are, at the very least, throwing out more offers to see if there’s any interest.
The latest goes out to four-star signal-caller CJ Stroud (Rancho Cucamonga, California), who is the nation’s fourth-ranked pro style quarterback and the No. 137 overall player in the country, per the 247Sports composite rankings.
