Daily Brews: How Michigan fans were a big factor versus Washington

Saturday was the twentieth anniversary of 9/11, and Michigan Football had the biggest event in America. The game was a maize out, with most of the fans wearing maize. The pregame ceremony featured a huge American flag that stretched across the entire football field, even the pregame flyover had a little extra sizzle. Something was in the air.

When the game finally kicked off, the fans were energized and loud, creating a delay of game penalty for Washington on the first play of the game.

“The crowd was going and it’s everything that we worked on and that’s what’s unfortunate,” Washington head coach Jimmy Lake said.
