Regarded as one of the top prospects in the nation for 2016, Donnie Corley is generally thought of as a wide receiver for the next level, but he showed on Saturday that there’s more to his game than just offense. Helping to lead his Detroit Martin Luther King squad to a 12-10 victory over Warren De La Salle in the Prep Kickoff Classic, it was his play as a defensive back that helped shift the tide of the game.
The 6-3, 185 pounder made just one catch for three yards on a tipped pass, but pulled in a red zone interception, broke up a pass and had a second pick wiped out by a penalty.
