Alabama head coach Nick Saban gave Michigan tight end Colston Loveland a lot of praise earlier this month, comparing him to Georgia tight end Brock Bowers.
“They’ve got some really good skill guys. No. 18 (Loveland), the tight end, kind of a mismatch,” Saban said. “A little like Georgia’s guy (Bowers).”
On Friday, the 6-foot-5, 245-pound Loveland was asked about Saban’s comments and being a mismatch. Loveland gave his take, his thoughts on Alabama’s safeties, and his mentality heading into the Rose Bowl matchup vs. Alabama.
Loveland has 40 receptions this season for 572 yards and four touchdowns.
