The plain white casket was set up in the middle of the auditorium at Saline High School. It was covered with colorful stickers — Superman, Batman-and-Robin and footballs.

Members of the Michigan football team stood as ushers, wearing orange T-shirts with “ChadTough” written on the front and the number 5 on back.
Chad loved the color orange.
And hundreds of people stood in a line that stretched for more than 100 yards, snaking out the auditorium and down the hallway before a memorial service for this 5-year-old boy who touched the world.
