Nearly four years ago, the Detroit Pistons passed on a talented, but injury prone Caris Levert and took the next Dirk Nowitzki in Henry Ellenson.

Yeeeeeah, the latter never panned out.

It turned out to be the wrong move, another draft blunder that has contributed to the Pistons' continued demise.

Levert, the former Michigan basketball standout, provided a painful reminder Tuesday night when he had his best NBA performance in front of a national audience and against one of the league's most storied franchises.
