Brian Bowen still wants to give college basketball a shot, apparently.
And South Carolina is taking a chance on him.
The five-star recruit and Saginaw native has enrolled at his new school, and now will await word from the NCAA on reinstatement, in hopes of playing college basketball next year. The outcome of that appeal by South Carolina is in question because it is Bowen who was at the center of an FBI investigation that alleges he and his family received $100,000 for him to attend Louisville.
Bowen says he knew nothing about the payment, but Louisville suspended him indefinitely, and gave him the opportunity to transfer.
