Michigan has picked up an Ivy League grad transfer PG from Columbia. Mike Smith averaged 22.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.5 assists a game for the Lions last year.
Mike will fill the Zavier Simpson role and will compete against Eli Brooks for the starting PG spot. This is a clear replacement for DD who entered the transfer portal earlier in the week.
Castleton's spot will hopefully be filled by 5 star Josh Christopher early next week.
You never know how a transfer from the Ivy League will preform in the Big Ten, but Mike won't have to average 22 a game in Ann Arbor and will only need to distribute the ball and play some defense.
