Another blood relative of a former NFL player is reportedly joining the Michigan football team for the 2018 season.
Berkley Edwards, the younger brother of former Michigan wide receiver Braylon Edwards, plans to join the Wolverines as a walk on, according to a Thursday morning report by The Michigan Insider.
Edwards has not returned a message from MLive seeking comment, but is eligible to play immediately after graduating this spring from Central Michigan.
He is no longer on the Chippewas' roster and did not participate in spring practice, a CMU spokesman confirmed Thursday.
Edwards, who was last listed at 5-feet-9 and 198 pounds, played running back and returned kicks (20 for 336 yards) for one season at CMU.
