New York — The father of blue-chip college basketball recruit and Saginaw native Brian Bowen testified Tuesday that former Michigan and NFL wide receiver Tai Streets gave him a $5,000 payment, Dan Wetzel of Yahoo! Sports reported.
Streets played at Michigan from 1995-98 before a six-year NFL career that included the 2004 season with the Detroit Lions. He is the founder of Meanstreets, a prominent AAU basketball club.
2. Tai Streets, as a former Michigan football player, is a rep of Wolverines so alleged 5K payment is problem even if it was to play for his AAU team not attend U of M.
