Blog: Notre Dame beats Michigan behind big second half

Fighting Irish get it done

Michigan got its stop, but it dribbled the clock down to about 15 seconds and Zak Irvin pulled up from beyond the arc to have his 3-pointer come up just short.

The Wolverines pulled in a rebound with just under 40 seconds to play and waited way too long to get their shot off. Bonzie Colson stepped to the line and hit two free throws with 11 seconds left and that was all she wrote. The Fighting Irish added two late free throws and held on to win, 70-63.

It was a dismal second half.
