Blog: Michigan battling back against Purdue

Michigan is slowly starting to chip away at the Purdue advantage, getting it down to 54-42 on a 3-pointer from Derrick Walton Jr.

Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman now has 10 points for the Wolverines while Zak Irvin has eight. The three from Walton was his first of the tournament.

A.J. Hammons now has 18 points for Purdue while Isaac Haas has 11.

Purdue opens second half on fire

Purdue scored the first nine points of the second half to extend its lead to 47-30, forcing Michigan to call a timeout.

The 17-point lead is the biggest of the game for the Boilermakers.
